FUNDING JOURNEY MAN
Phase 1: 'Journey Man' Film Trailer
WHY FUND “JOURNEY MAN”?
Well folks, we tried that Kickstarter thing. While it was a fun go and we learned a lot and decided to migrate over hereto ChipIn to raise money in a whole new way.
In Phase 1 we will be raising $2,500 to fund a movie trailer for "Journey Man."
We control the deadlines. We can extend them if we have to. There's no Kickstarter failure. Just our continued hard work to raise money for a film we believe in.
You'll hear more about Phase 2 soon. In the meantime, please donate and stop by our Facebook page.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
To the movie budget! Films cost more than $1,000 per day to shoot. Editing costs reach into the thousands. Funding will go toward paying leading actors, as well as buying food, props, special effects, film permits, locations, equipment, film studios and more. The costs add up even though this is a low budget film! Many people on this project will not get paid even if we triple our goal. You can help more people get paid on this project by donating and spreading the word.
“Journey Man” is a Hectic Films production written by Nick Belardes about three deserters who randomly meet in the deserts of Iraq during the U.S.-Iraqi War. Michael Wise, AWOL from a secret Army PSYOPS base, is first confronted by Mohamed, an Iraqi soldier paranoid of cowboys. They soon meet the mysterious deserter Jimmy Wells. Two years later Michael’s life seems to have turned normal. He has a budding young career as a firefighter and a beautiful girlfriend. That is, until one day Jimmy Wells AKA Journey Man reappears in his life with a toy dump truck in tow. More info, images and wackiness on "Journey Man" on Facebook:
